Increase function in diseases or injuries that impair the brain, spinal cord and/or nerves through physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
Impairments that can be treated:
- Difficulty with moving, coordination, and balance
- Weakness or loss or feeling, either sudden or progressing
- Change in memory and/or ability to understand words
- Difficulty speaking, swallowing, or a change in voice
Conditions that may benefit from neurological rehabilitation include ALS, stroke or head injury, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, or Huntington’s Disease, among others.
